California dreams…

I’m in San Diego. It only took me about 28 hours of traveling (okay, some of those hours were spent in the airports) but I’m here. I think I’m cursed with bad luck when it comes to flying or maybe it’s just this trip. Either way it sucks. Oh and I got the extra security treatment in both the German and Chicago airports. Both me and my laptop got patted down. Apparently I look like a terrorist. Actually, I would like to think it was just the pissed off look I had on my face the entire day. They saw it and wanted to make my day that much worse.

I’m finally not traveling alone and I’m very happy about that. I actually have somebody to talk to and to eat with. Ah, how I find pleasure with the little things in life.  I’m traveling with the same man (WP) who lost his passport and ditched me in France. He’s very apologetic about that and I feel I’ll be able to milk that for a long time. For example, I got to choose where we ate lunch today. Seeing how we’re in Southern Cali and so close to Mexico, I decided to get Mexican grub. We drove around for a bit and finally found a place……..On The Border! Yes I love that restuarant and while it’s not exactly real Mexican, it’s still good stuff.

Tonight however, we’re going to visit downtown San Diego and eat at a sushi restuarant that came with high recommendations. I love sushi and this joint better be good.

Val, you went to On The Border…..come on there is one on Riverdale road. Your in San Diego and you choose a chain thats all over the US. After my recent travels to L.A. I’m sure San Diego was similar in that you couldn’t go 2 miles without passing at least 1 mexican joint.
